so-called ascended masters:

Meaning: In the end , when these ascended masters have gone as high as they can go, they come to the realization that they are not God because they know they did not create creation. They are unable to answer the questions only God can. It is at this point that they realize that God is not something but someone, and they are not that someone. As God explained, this is what they come to realize:
I AM a living God.
You are living proof of My existence.
There is someone out there greater than you.
